Of course you do.

My request: anybody out there have a PCI sound card with MIDI support under linux? The stupid integrated sound on the guitarists has no game port, and thus can't communicate with the black-and-white keyed keyboard.

Sound Blaster Live (value) or something of that nature is nice, because they don't suck, but anything with linux support (or, if you don't know, ask me) is great. Has to be PCI though.

Also, even just a MIDI interface card would work (as we do have sound) - it just has to be PCI.

Extra points if you have a gameport to midi adapter.

I've got a Soundblaster Live PCI card lying around; bought it new in late 2000, in good condition and all that. Let me know if you want it.

I think I actually have a gameport-to-MIDI adapter kicking around the basement somewhere. God only knows why; we've never owned MIDI hardware. I'll see if I can dig it up.
