OldJournal: ups and downs
Oct. 15th, 2001 11:09 pmFor the most part, today was a pretty good day. Things went pretty well -- I didn't get TOO wet -- and I felt pretty good overall. During lunch I was out searching for Moo; upon returning back to the lunch group, I saw both Patrick and Jenny with water bottles. Patrick tried to get me wet, and succeeded very minimally on my shoulder and on my hair a slight bit. I tried to grab the water bottle from him to prevent him from wetting me further but failed in one sense, succeeded in another: I instead squeezed the bottle, causing most of the water to come out all over his shirt and the floor. He still had a little left, and came after me with it, but was then repremanded by Mrs. Nelson. Jenny did nothing in all of this; she could've soaked me if she had wanted, as I could only have dealt with one person. She, however, opted not to get me wet. This was the highlight of lunch, I suppose. (BTW, this water-thing is a looong running story.)
Not much more notable stuff happened till this evening. Aman did evil things: he found the mysql password and began looking through these journal entries illegally. I then disabled his account and changed some passwords, only for him to come back again on another account and hack his way into root. I managed to get the root password back, disable many accounts, reset a bunch of passwords, and do some overall securing. The war is not nearly over yet.
That's about it for now. I need my rest for the PSATs tomorrow; oh joy!
