The weather of late is making me happy. As is listening to music.

Unfortunately, the cd player on my laptop makes me very sad - it makes grip and xmms and anything else completely crash. I don't seem to know where the problem actually lies, other than that it's annoying the hell out of me.

Sigh.

Does anybody have a Dell laptop with a removable cdrom drive that I could try using to see if my drive is busted?

I do have a removable cd/dvd drive for a Dell laptop, but as I'm not nearby I doubt that it can be of any help to you (unless I sent it to you, but I'm sure that you can find another one much closer).

Even worse is how I DO have one I wouldn't mind sending, but it wouldn't work in your Dell cause it's the wrong kind.
