jgraft0r's rule of CMU #4024:
One can never be caught up, just slightly less behind.

Corollary #1:
If one thinks one is caught up, one is simply forgetting or neglecting some assignment or task.

Addendum: This rule applies for all Colleges/Universities, as well as any real job.

Well, every college I've been to is like that, true, but "real job" is subjective. I had a real job. I hauled dirt samples around and did tests on them. If I didn't do that correctly, there is a slight chance that a building could... well, just don't go to the new Chinese embassy if you don't trust me.

But at the end of the day, everything was done.

To quote a student-teacher conversation in a film arts class I took about how a certain character had demonic/vampiric traits in order to make him creepier even though the movie was towards the "realist" end of the spectrum:
Teacher: "It's kind of creepy. What kind of normal person would sleep during the day and be awake at night?"
(fat guy who smells like toxic bath and has since reformed): "College students!"
Teacher: "You guys are in college. NOTHING you do is normal!!"

Is this supposed to apply to life in general while at CMU, or just school-stuff?
